POSITION: Part Time Content Specialist 

A Day in the Life of a Content Specialist:

A content specialist primarily tasked with overseeing and spearheading designated client content creation, coordination, and scheduling. Their primary duty is to provide quality content (photos, videos, and others) that fits the clients' style and brand for growing brand awareness and presence.

 

Here are other responsibilities of a content specialist:

  • Create and manage engaging content that converts for various different brands

  • Manage and oversee creating and editing social media content to build connections and community action

  • Following the SOPs

  • Determine areas that need improvement with account growth and brand awareness

  • Provide constructive feedback

  • An up-to-date and solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimise content so that it is engaging on those channels

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.

  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules for content

  • Continuously improve the brand and content by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, then acting on the information.

  • Delivering output on or before the set deadlines

  • Working hand in hand with the Engagement Specialist and VP of Operations to provide for the clients' needs.


 

Qualification to be a Content Specialist: Applicants are expected to have a keen grasp of the latest social media trends and be a creative at heart. The content specialist is also expected to have organisational and excellent planning skills to meet the content calendar clients require. What is most important to us is that you are a team player and are willing to learn. 

 

Here are other qualifications for a successful content specialist: 

 

  • Located in Winnipeg, MB 

  • A person who thinks outside of the box and considers themselves a creative. 

  • Detail oriented person 

  • Marketing or creative arts experience 

  • Experience as a social media manager preferred (not required)

  • High-level communication skills

  • Computer and mobile device proficient

  • Experienced in creating visual and written content

  • Has a great personality and can connect with other team members of the company

  • Has excellent knowledge of using online design applications and programs

  • Good at receiving feedback and suggestions to improve the content

  • Can meet all deadlines
